BYU Basketball will travel to Las Vegas for the Hall of Fame Series.

BYU Basketball is starting to see their 2025-26 schedule fall into place, starting with a trip to Las Vegas, Nevada. The Cougars will play Villanova at T-Mobile Arena. The game is part of a double-header that will also include Florida and Arizona as part of the Hall of Fame Classic. The event is organized by the James Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
This will be the first time the Cougars and Wildcats have met since 1984. The Wildcats have a 2-1 lead in the overall series. The Cougars’ only win was in 1970 in Hawaii. BYU has a much different basketball program this year. AJ Dybansta, Xavion Staton, and Rob Wright highlight the newcomers, while Richie Saunders and Keba Keita are among the returning stars.
BYU has a strong team this year. Returning stars mixed with new talent have this team looking good. Keba Keita, for example, is a big player who is good on both sides of the ball. He can score at the rim and defend well. Richie Saunders is a talented shooter who gets hot fast and is always a handful for the opponents. Add AJ Dybnasta and this team is going to be hard to beat.

Villanova, of course, is no easy feat. The Wildcats have been dominant for quite a while now, and they show no signs of slowing down. The Wildcats were a number six seed in the last NCAA Tournament, and when they are hot, they are dangerous. BYU will have its hands full, and it should be a high-scoring game.
BYU is getting better. The Cougars are signing top talent like AJ Dybnansta and keeping talent like Richie Saunders. BYU also signed Head Coach Kevin Young, or KYU as he is often called by fans, to a multi-year deal that will pave the way for the Cougars’ success. Kevin Young has brought BYU back to national prominence, and the Cougars can only go up from here.
BYU has an electric offense in 2025, and the defense could be just as good. The Cougs are going to be fun to watch, and several experts have them making it to the Elite Eight. Saunders and Dybansta are going to be fun to watch, and I can’t wait for November 3rd.
