BYU played a close game in Boulder, and Isaiah Glasker’s interception was the game-clincher.

BYU Football had a close one on Saturday night. The Cougars fell behind 14-0 early, but scored 17 unanswered points and won the game. Isaiah Glasker’s late interception was key, and BYU’s late rally was a great response. Bear Bachmeier still has not turned the ball over, and he threw for two touchdowns. BYU went 2/3 on fourth down, and while Will Ferrin missed a field goal, he played well, and his field goal late in the game was the difference.
BYU had two drives extended by penalties,with two pass interference calls and a holding call. BYU had some great passing plays and was brilliant offensively. The Cougars never turned the ball over and made good plays all game. As the Cougars passed the ball, Colorado was forced to commit penalties; otherwise, BYU was in for six. The Cougars were on fire, and both the pass and run game were firing.

BYU’s defense was tested more in this game than in any of its previous ones. While they did bend, they did not break. Glakser’s interception with under 45 seconds to go was a big stop, and proved that team defense is crucial to the Cougars’ success. Before Glakser intercepted the pass, Jack Kelly applied pressure and forced a bad throw from Colorado quarterback Kaiden Salter, which Glakser easily intercepted.
BYU won again. It wasn’t pretty, but they managed to get it done. BYU improves to 4-0 on the season, and this defense has been a dominant force every game so far. Colorado struggled to find an answer to BYU’s balanced offensive attack and could not figure out the Cougars’ defense. The Cougars will look to get another win when they host West Virginia at home this Friday.
