BYU Football takes on the Stanford Cardinal at Lavell Edwards Stadium. Here’s what we think will happen

BYU Football is ready to go for week two. This week’s opponent is the Stanford Cardinal. Last time the Cougars met the Cardinal, BYU won 35-26. BYU is the heavy favorite and is expected to win by 20 points. BYU is a solid team, led by true freshman quarterback Bear Bachmier. BYU is solid in all three phases, and the Cougars are ready for their first real challenge.
BYU started the season strong with a strong 69-0 win against Portland State. BYU dominated and never let up. Stanford is a better team, but is still struggling. BYU has a nice warm-up game to get going before the Big 12 season starts. The Cardinal lost their first game 23-20 at Hawai’i.
BYU is a good team this year. The Cougars are returning players like Isaiah Glasker, LJ Martin, and Will Ferrin. BYU boasts an electric offense, a strong defense, and an exciting special teams unit. Ferrin, the kicker, tied a BYU record for the longest field goal, with a successful 56-yard attempt.

BYU Football is going to have its first real test against Stanford. Stanford plays in the ACC, and it is a good team. Still, the Cardinals have had their struggles, and this probably won’t be a close game. BYU most likely will run over Stanford. It won’t be like the Portland State game, but it should be pretty straightforward.
Score Prediction for BYU vs Stanford: BYU 35, Stanford 15.
BYU has gotten stronger in the offseason. The Cougars have added some talent and enhanced their existing skill sets. Stanford seems to have some of the issues that plagued them last year carrying over to this year. Still, both teams are only one game in, and it is a long season ahead. It will be fun to see, and I can’t wait.
