BYU’s Jack Kelly is a force to be reckoned with. Here is a deeper look.

BYU Football has found a lot of success recently. A big part of that is the defense, specifically Jack Kelly. he has been a beast, sacking quarterbacks and stalling drives. BYU owes a lot of credit to him, and he has really blossomed under the leadership of defensive coordinator Jay Hill. Sadly, he is a redshirt senior, which means this is his last season wearing White and Blue.
Jack Kelly grew up in Kearns, Utah, and played football at Kearns High School. According to 247 Sports, he was a four-star recruit coming out of high school. Kelly stands at 6 feet 2 inches and weighs 242 pounds. Kelly tranfered from Weber State prior to the 2024 season, and redshirted in 2021. Kelly earned 6A all-second-team honors in his senior year of high school.

Last year, Jack Kelly had 51 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and five sacks. Kelly was on the 2024 All-Big 12 First Team 2024 and the Big 12 All-Conference Third Team. Kelly is majoring in Business Management. He competed in BMX dirt track competitions and won one. Kelly was the 2024 Defensive Newcomer of the Year and Defensive Transfer of the Year last year.
BYU Football has a solid defense, and Jack Kelly is a big part of that. He is the Captain of the defense, and he is strong and fearless. Kelly is a great person for young boys to look up to, both as a football player and a person. BYU is lucky to have him, and I see him competing professionally. Jack Kelly is a talented dude, and I got to ask, ain’t it a fine life?
