BYU played a rough game against West Virginia, but still came out on top.

BYU Football had a very interesting game last night. In the first half, things looked good, but in the second half, it looked like the offense was falling apart. Three turnovers on offense after none in the first four games caused concern on BYU’s side. The defense also was up and down, plus costly penalties on both sides of the ball. But still, a win is a win, and BYU should be grateful they are undefeated.
BYU got down the field on their first drive before Will Ferrin missed a long field goal. West Virginia threw an interception, and BYU drove down the field, with Parker Kingston punching it into the end zone on the ground. BYU would stop the Mountaineers on fourth down and one, and then score again to make it 14-0. In the second quarter, WVU would score a field goal before Bear Bachmeier threw his first interception of his BYU career.

BYU would force a punt and later score a touchdown. WVU punted, BYU fumbled, and the Mountaineers scored their first touchdown of the game. BYU would respond with a touchdown, and the score would be 28-10 at halftime. In the second half, BYU would successfully fake a field goal before kicking one later that drive. The teams would trade touchdowns before BYU ultimately won 38-24.
BYU Football had 351 passing yards and 165 rushing yards for a total of 516 yards. BYU lost Jack Kelly on defense to an upper-body injury. It was a rough night, but wins can come in many forms. A win is a win, and BYU has made it happen once again. The Cougars bent but didn’t break, and came out on top.
