Utah Royals FC made some big moves in the summer and looks like a real contender.

The Utah Royals are back for year two. Game one is complete, a 1-1 draw at home against Bay FC. The first goal came after a long ball from Royals FC Goalkeeper Mandy McGlynn found the foot of newcomer Bianca Saint-Georges, who calmly found the back of the net. Bay FC would equalize close to halftime with a long-range shot after a poor clearance. No goals were scored in the second half.
Utah Royals FC has some new faces that could make a real impact. Saint-Georges has already proven to be a smart finisher and Aisha Solórzano has a history of goalscoring. The Royals had trouble scoring goals last year and Saint-Georges and Solórzano will be great additions to play alongside Ally Setnor and Paige Monaghan.
Tatumn Milazzo and Nuria Rábano have shown that they can play well across the backline. The Royals now have more depth in defense and more options means more fresh legs when the schedule becomes congested. Additionally, it also creates competition which pushes every player to play at their best.

The Royals are coming off of a rough first year and the current roster looks like it could be a winning one. Returning players like Setnor, Monaghan, McGlynn, and Kate Del Fava could mix with newbies Saint-Georges, Solórzano, and Rabano to create an exciting combination of attack and defense. The Royals are looking promising and this could be a good year.
Utah Royals FC has some big pieces in their 2025 roster and the game against Bay FC was proof that they can play well. Last year was a rough season, but the club was new to the league and year two has some promising players. Saint-Georges is a proven goalscorer and scored against Utah last season. If the McGlynn-Saint-Georges connection continues, the Royals could become a goal-scoring machine. This season is a fresh start and it is exciting to think about what could be in store for the Royals.
